There is some truth in what you say but I have some good advice. If you walk into a street and there are 100 people that are slightly friendly to you and 10 that are willing to die to kill you; get off the street. 100 luke warm supporters who aren't willing to risk their lives to help you are weaker than the 10 that are willing to risk their lives to kill you. Why do you think the Iraqi "security forces" drop their guns and run? Is it because they're current day Paul Reveres that believe in "give me liberty or give me death," or is it because they're ambivalent and are only after a paycheck? Remember how hard the ARVNs fought for "their freedom" in Vietnam? I do.
