Lehrer really needs to be exposed as a fraud. I've had my doubts about him since the 2000 election when he was a willing stooge at the Presidential debates, avoiding any controversial issue that Gore and Bush had decided to avoid.

For example, in the 2000 debates, Medicare came up 68 times, but there was not one mention of NAFTA or "free trade". It was "off the table". Yet NAFTA is a crucial topic, and a huge threat to working Americans.

And in 2002-3 in the run-up to the disasterous Iraq invasion, Lehrer served as an extremely dependable propaganda tool for the neo-con position. Lehrer actively suppresed any rational debate and provided a platform for the neo-cons, while silencing the progressive community.
