Re: It is one of the few places (the only place?) where we can go to get the straight dope I've come to rely quite a bit on the wisdom of Amy Goodman and Juan Gonzalez at Democracy NOW! to keep coming up with excellent commentators. Today was a perfect example. They introduced us to Ian Williams and William McChesney and again had Tariq Ali on, giving his brilliant analysis. democracynow.org At first I distrusted Cole because he was on PBS's New Hour which is trashy government propaganda for the most part. commondreams.org It's good to see that Cole is "real deal". Aside: I loved the sly way that Tariq Ali described the fruits of plunder that Britain is enjoying in Iraq today. Someone in the Pentagon does have a sense of humor. Britain's only important contract in Iraq is to rebuild sewers. Rubbing Tony's nose in it, once again.
