The Republican party is completely ruled by male whites with money who don't mix with those of color. Anyone who's been to a Republican rally (as I have) know that. the GOP convention is a farce where they put on stage all their minority leaders. The white males are hidden from camera view but make up about 90% of the croad. And these are not just white males, they are white males who see themselves as the permanent ruling class.

It is also the party of those who seem to dominate women and restrict their rights. Anyone who denies this is a liar. The denial or abortion rights and contraceptive rights is steered by white males who apparently do not want anyone else to have sex because they themselves are afraid of sex. They don't adopt unwanted black kids, they just preach that sex is evil.

Moderate Republicans are good honest people and need to take back their party from the far right alliance of corporate polluters/oil/drugs/HMO's/developers/fat cats and the religious right, who are actually a minority in Christian society. They are the loud minority who like in Germany in the 30's sought to dominate by intimidation, scape-goating, division, wedge issues and false patriotism.

If the rightwing are such patriots, why has not a single one of their leaders ever served the military in combat? And why did they quickly cut veterans medical benefits once in power?

If the religious right are so moral, why do they advocate intolerance, goodies for the rich, cuts in services to the poor, shfting the taxation burden to the middleclass, more and more pollution, clear-cutting old forests, fewer restrictions against political corruption and graft and lack of compassion for those hurting the worst?

The fact is Bush's own Methodist Church just came out with a blistering criticism of his mishandling of the environment. They also questions the morality of his Faith-Based religious program which they saw as a political pay-off scheme which hurts real charities.

Most of all, this needless war in Iraq. It was bnased on a lie, it is immoral and now we are stuck there with a huge bill and price to pay. This and the fact that the Cheney-Bush regime were AWOL on terrorism proves that their entire justfication of themselves is based on gross lies and fabrications.
