I sometimes wonder about professional athletes .... just where their sense of reality comes from.

Sad to see Pat Tillman ( a wonderful human being ) and John Welbourn stories on the same day.

I'm listening to Welbourn demanding to be traded by the Eagles because they refuse to add bonuses to his contract.

Accoring to Welbourn, he is being "taken advantage of", the Eagles are abusive in their treatment of him and he thens rips them for their player selection since Reid took over that role.

I wonder how every player drafted since then or signed as a free agent feels about him today ?

John Welbourn is one of the brightest pro football players around. He signed his contract 3 years ago; coming off a major knee injury. Suddenly, he's being taken advantage of ? Of course, now that he's pocketed the 3.5 million signing bonus, it's time to feel taken advantage of.

Give me a break John Welbourn; read Pat Tillman's life and get a sense of reality about yourself. Nobody put any gun to your head 3 years ago; nobody put one to your head yesterday either. Take responsibility for your actions.

A few of your teammates have been on the airwaves the past 12 hours; seems a few would like to get their hands on your throat.

Considering your arrogant stance, it's probably not a bad idea !
