Problem is that the saudi clerics representing the most extreme sect of Islam are actively funded by the saudi rulers. Unless we face up to the problem of saudi arabia we will fail in the war on terror. The attitude of the saudi gov is that it is ok to preach hate against the west but draw the line when it comes to the monarchy. They are our ultimate enemy and the only way to really defeat them is to starve them economically. That means to stop or at least greatly reduce our dependence on oil.
