I hope not. The state would be based on terrorism and corruption. Not that the other Arab states aren't corrupt and magnets for terrorists, but a Pal-Arab state would be the worst. I agree with you that the average Pal-Arab's conditions would not improve. The terrorists and PLO are only interested in themselves, and keep the people in misery as weapons against Israel. The West Bank was previously part of Jordan, and Gaza was part of Egypt. Neither country wants anything to do with Arafat's Pal-Arabs. If they don't want the territories, then it should be given to Israel.
