The comparison I make is with the earliest Templeton Fund (false comparison no doubt). But anyone who bought something else to save the front end load (something around 5%) on that one made a big mistake. But you know, that was back at a time that a small investor had to pay Merrill Lynch about the same percentage commission just to buy 100 shares of stock.

I don't mind the annual fee on the Rogers fund nearly as much as the upfront 6%. There seems to be some chance that PIMCO will drop the PCRDX annual fee from 2.24%, I think it is.

But where I grew up in Tennessee the initiation fee for the Country Club (and put strong emphasis on "Country"--as a matter of fact there was hardly anything other than country around there) was probably about the same as the minimum Rogers fee.
