We'll have to wait until November 3, 2004 to see who is right, but I'll bet you a cyber-six pack that I am.

Two possibilities:

(1) 75% probability. Terrorist attack in the US in either September or October of 2004. This will throw millions of votes Bush's way ("We'll show those bastards they can't push us around! We're not Spain, dadgummit!"), and he wins by a considerable margin.

(2) 25% possibility. No US terrorist attack. Shortly before the election we go to code orange, and Rice and Cheney make the rounds of teevee news shows, warning people of the strong possibility of terrorist attacks on polling places come November 2, 2004, while at the same time pleading with us to defy the attempt at intimidation by the terrorists. This swings a couple of million votes Bush's way, and he wins by a small margin.

Our enemies are not stupid, they realize that an attack prior to the election will arouse massive patriotic fervor which will result in the re-election of George W. Bush.
