Najaf is a very holy Moslem city. IF the moderate Ayotollah SIstani commands the Shias ( 15 million of them ) to attack in displeasure, our boys will be in very bad shape over there. Lots of scenarios can develop. There are many countries with shakey democracies that could turn on the US . Turkey and the Kurds could go at it, Egypt could erupt and the countries all around Iraq could join in the war. The situation needs to get handled fast.
