You are absolutely right.

The US doesn't want Israel to get rid of Arafat because of international politics. You see the problems of "do it alone" in Iraq. Unfortunately, as powerful as the US is, it must live in a world of interdependence.

Many other nations of the world care little about a bunch of Jews trying to survive. There is money to be made on Arab oil and tyranny. We see how France and Russia were involved to the tune of billions with Saddam. Even today, we are learning how the UN program was used as a system of kickbacks for the benefit of Saddam and powerful foreigners.

It's all about the money.
