I am not a big conspiracy believer myself I just ordered Woodward's book and I am almost finished with Clarke's. You should read them both also along with the other book by MacNeil ( I think that's the other author). SOmeone just brought out that the Saudi Prince knew about the Iraq invasion before Powell..........I think Woodward said it but I'm not sure. Clarke is a Republican who liked Bush Sr's foreign policy the best of all the Presidents that he worked for so he is quite a credible person I think. He worked for Reagan thru Bush Jr. ALl of those men knew what the stakes were when they wrote the books cause it's common knowledge what happens to those that defect. I agree the stakes are very high. I also have friends that are Pakistani, Palestinian, East Indian, Jordanian and I know a guy who was born in Kuwait. his Dad was a mudder for an oil co owned by the US and the Saudi's. He was packing up his things near the Kuwaiti border when Iraq invaded Kuwait. They had their Range Rovers running 24hours a day until they could evacuate..........so they could escape fast if necessary. ANother gal I know went to Med school in Baghdad............another friend is Iranian so I have alot of input from people who have more knowledge than I. Every single one I mentioned above can't stand the Bush's. When George Bush drags the Christian religious talk into his speeches about the war and Israel he inflames the entire Middle East region............he might as well wave a flag in front of a raging bull. He uses it because it scores him points with the religious right which is his voter base, but he may get alot of us killed while he's fishing for votes! I am in a hurry right now so sorry about the rambling but these are some thoughts I have about the current serious situation. I also spent some time in Germany earlier this year so I got some input from my colleages there. Gotta run..................I'll be back later tonight. I agree we all need to talk this over as best we can and tell each other our thoughts about why we feel as we do.
