OK, I see what you are referring to. I have no idea what might have caused those two anomalous plumes of smoke below the collapsing floors. It could have been the result of explosive charges, or it could have been because of a myriad of other failures, such as electrical transformers/switchgear, halon fire suppression canisters in computer rooms, bottled gas canisters getting crushed, etc.

There is a real physical effect there. No question about that. But what is causing the effect is not so easily determined.
