Iraq could govern itself today but it would be a theocracy..................it may be no matter what is done. That is one of the reasons I didn't support the war.

If the Shias are the majority in Iraq and they have a democracy, it will turn into a theocratic Islamic democracy because the majority party will all vote for the Shias.

Bush's problem is he doesn't want that to happen so he ends up looking like a fool.

Iraq wants to choose their own destiny and Bush wants to choose it for them.

It'll take 100 years or more for things to change in Iraq..............it they ever change.

It think Bush wants permanent bases in Iraq like the PNAC documents proclaim.
