Unfortunately, he's missing the entire point. Iraq may not be our country but to oil men, they have OUR OIL which justifies our invasion.

Here is the line of thinking:

- Money good, very good
- Oil makes money, oil very good
- Iraq has oil, oil very good
- Therefore, getting Iraq oil, very good

"Our presence is causing death, suffering, destruction, and so large sections of the population are rising against us."

He's also missing the point on what's good for the Iraqi people.

- Trickle down works in America
- Make rich richer trickle down crumbs
- Works in America, works in Iraq
- Make few Iraqis richer, trickle down crumbs

These guys aren't working with the same instruction booklet that the Moderate Moral Majority are. They aren't looking to make democracy, peace or economic prosperity for the masses because they're autocrats like Bandar Bush who laments in public that the US isn't a monarchy.
