Thank you for proving my point.

Only in your deluded dreams. When you accuse me of having some political test for blackness, or when Nadine accuses me of being an anti-Semite for not being pro-Zionist, I think of my friends. Although the circle is not large (too many other interests), it's both varied and enduring. Unfortunately, I'm now of an age that the circle is being attrited by age. A Jewish friend since the seventies passed less than two weeks ago. A tax lawyer that had specialized in entertainment clients, his political views were far more conservative than mine, but I would classify him as a moderate. I've attended the Bar and Bat Mitzvahs of his children and now grandchildren. Among other attendees is a black friend, who can only be categorized as a Friedman conservative. Politically we differ greatly, but share a respect for varied perspectives cogently presented. Plus, we share certain cultural preferences stemming from both having been partially raised in the segregated south. And we both know what ticket the Klan votes these days.
