Pretty dang stOOpid, as usual. Lieberman is considered one of the most respected of all Senators, certainly of all Democrats. So it makes perfect sense to single him out as a representative of the few “reasonable democrats” in the Senate. Such a thing would appear racist only to a goofy racist.

“The Times says Lieberman is widely regarded on Capitol Hill as one of the most upstanding elected officials in the country.”

Up until Gore chose Lieberman, the senator enjoyed a reputation matched by few in the American political scene. Members of both major parties regarded him as a man of great principle and integrity, and he was considered as the one voice of the U.S. Congress willing to fight for the American family, as unpopular as this sometimes may have been.

“Joseph Lieberman is well regarded," said Stuart Rothenburg, editor of the non-alligned Rothenburg political report newsletter.”

“Clearly Gore chose him because he is widely regarded and highly respected across the ideological spectrum as an independent, thoughtful lawmaker.”
