Searle, in keeping with the theme of this thread, what are your thoughts about the recent prognostications of Greenspan. If you can believe him, we are not in danger of deflation, and inflation is no problem either. An idyllic economic environment. Jobs are surging, profits are up and the wealth effect due to the real estate bubble is a good thing because wealth according to him is the sum of one's assets.

Just a teaser, because these things I think will play themselves out in the next few months, when the direction of interest rates and the dollar and the price of gold will become more apparent.

Is your crystal ball any clearer than mine? Of course I know these are known unknowns, as opposed to unknown unknowns if you get my drift.
