Here's what my parents were offered on their Caddy. No mention of RDS: "Don't recall hearing about it in connection with any of the Cadillac research I did. Cadillac presently offers the OnStar system which combines a cellular telephone link with an on-board GPS system and a central monitoring system in the US somewhere. The onboard computer detects various problems and alerts the monitoring station. Such as, if the air bags deploy and the occupant do not inform to the contrary the monitoring system automatically calls the nearest police/emergency unit for help. It can also unlock doors for you! Pretty neat, but over a grand to install and then $22.95 a month for the monitoring plus the cellular charges. "
