Exactly, Freedom of religion does not mean one can impose beliefs on another. If a religion believed in killing others, the First Amendment would not allow it. That's the most extreme example. Yet, we have extremists who preach hate to the extent that the next step would be a holocaust.

There are aspects of all religions that allow each individual to form his own set of beliefs within a general concept. This is a reform religion, not firmly rooted in an orthodoxy of beliefs. This type of religion is generally more accepting and relies less on words of wisdom written by men, proclaiming what a deity said thousands of years ago.

Commentaries from thousands of years ago are very similar to internet posters today. No better, no worse.
