The Specter / Toomey race is an interesting bell weather for the republicans. Specter is described as a Rockefeller republican (although I believe Coulter called him a donkey trapped in an elephant's body). Bush jr came out to campaign for Specter, though, so that's probably a good sign for folks who want the republicans to be more moderate.
