Bearded One

There are a lot of different kinds of objections here.

But there is a lot of corporate activity or lack thereof to which one might object.

Dr. Cowpland seems to be trying to pull off a bait and switch. Many investors have seen Corel as a major part of a pure JAVA future. The early move to JAVA programing leadership felt OK. If their talented programing team could deliver the goods in time, then all would be surrounded by a rosy glow and the stock could... try big Kahuna, easy four-bagger. Now we find resources being diverted from JAVA to some kind of windows Remangen thing nobody understands and a probable very hard sell.

We must assume that the original move to a JAVA suite is a near total failure that can be written off in its entirety. But we are told "Oh no, we will be devoting even more resources to JAVA in the future." As spin control this lacks even the slightest credibility. In any case the supposed early JAVA lead has been frittered away.

I could go on and on but the end result is that this company is badly lacking in focus and direction. Goals seem to change with every neural discharge in Dr. Cowpland's brain. The management style works sometimes. When it fails it is really ugly.

No way to run a company especially a world leader in this and that.

I will see what the market thinks tomorrow.

Regards,

Leo

PS my own beard unshaved since 1970. ;D)
