If tiny Israel wasn't a superpower, Israel would be destroyed by the backward, violent war-like Arabs. Just look how America is being rewarded for wanting to build schools, hospitals and democracy in Iraq.

Tiny Israel wasn't always a superpower. During the five Arab wars against Israel, Israel was always vastly outnumbered, and the Arabs had military and weapon superiority over Israel.
First, that's pretty much bull. During the 1948 war, a European group of militant Jews provided the Zionists advanced weaponry [for that time]. Ever since, Israel has been on the US dole.
If it weren't for the military genus of leaders like Sharon, Israel would have been destroyed, and most Jews murdered by the barbaric Arab hordes. To repeat, in all wars, the Arabs had vast military superiority over the Jews.
The Arabs never had vast military superiority over the Israelis.
But even if they did, that does not change the fact that Israel now is a regional superpower.......militarily. And we don't need to keep giving her $3 billion per year.
