Yes, Nasser was saber rattling. He was trying to scare Israel into not attacking him. It didn't work. It took Sadat's demonstration of military force in 1973 to finally teach Israel to stop attacking Egypt.

At least you admit the saber rattling. Just as Saddam got screwed by his own bluffing of WMD and support for terror, Nassar got what he deserved, a disgraceful loss despite the boasts that they would "drive the Jews into the sea."

As for 1973, I find it so funny that you seem to think it was some type of victory. The Arabs lost more land, soldiers and their entire air force. They did have a quick surprise victory attacking on Yom Kippur.

You'd be the first to be outraged if Israel attacked Arabs on your holy days. Wouldn't you?
