Hi freeus,

to me the answer is fairly simple, what's your best guess as to which company will still be around 10, 20, 50, 100 years from now.?

In between there will be all kinds of tempting opportunities. If you can buy low and sell high (most of the time), chances are that you will still not beat the long term prospects of long term growth companies.

COCA COLA is a wonderful example of the long term hold (3 years is very short term, actually miniscule)

regards, Terence Mitchell
