I sense that there are many unhappy people here who believe you may be toying with them in a somewhat capricious and arbitrary manner. When I saw the enormous effort Mr. Mark put into his thoughtful, cogent post on the number 549, I was amazed at your cavalier dismissal of his effort. Yet he overcame the intense rejection and hurt he must have felt to politely resubmit it for your consideration. Yet again, you crushed his dreams.
Indeed, it pains me to have to tell him that he is, sadly, quite as wrong as you.
I say this only because I have it on almost Biblical authority that the ultimate answer is 42. And thus, regardless of what you thought you thought, you were not in fact thinking it, but were actually thinking 42.
And perhaps, for a second or two, 549, and even 744.
We are after all mere mortals. And so I will forgive you, and thank you in advance for acknowledging 42 as the Ultimate Answer. |
