What a day. Some "relative" positives: Miners 1. SML, no change on 3x normal volume. My #3 holding 2. MDW, -4.3% on 2x normal volume. My #1 holding 3. XRC, -4.6% on 2.5x normal volume. A minor holding. The aforementioned 3 issues are 31% of my PM holdings. I expect the HUI to dribble down a bit more, but the carnage is mainly over, and 170-ish should be the bottom for now. It may (1) go only up from there, or (2) corrects a bit more before a final drop to 155, or (3) corrects a lot before dropping to a final bottom at 135-ish. My guess is (2) happens. IMHO. USPIX Up 3.6% today, 34.4% of portfolio Think USPIX is headed for $26 territory ST. More on USPIX/NDX later. crusty
