I listened today too, and thought he was appropriately contrite and determined to try to do right by everybody. He does seem to have a peculiar attraction for these stocks where "the bad news is already in" (NT), or "this has already been investigated up and down by everybody" (Tyco). Also, he seems to like complex restructurings where the pieces are allegedly worth more than the whole (CNXT and CEG, as I recall). Not sure that these types of recommendations are appropriate for the audience most likely to be following him, but at least he is up-front in describing what he is doing and why, and warning people that patience may be required. All in all, I think he tries to do right for people, but obviously things don't always work out.
