Trust me, I invented myself. I got fed up with the nice, milquetoast kumbaya Left and decided to blaze a new persona, just for the sake of stirring up some controversy when some was in need of being stirred.

It seems to have worked out, except that I occasionally get the oddest reactions in local meetings when I decide to play Jeremiah instead of Mr. Rogers. Truth is something that Americans seem to be able to handle only in very small doses, as Colonel Nathan Jessup expressed very well indeed in "A Few Good Men".
