No amount of destruction of aircraft or buildings, comparable to 911, in the US can possibly cause the state to fall.

Ok... thanks for that reassuring note Bilow.. I won't worry about it now..

How about what that guy tried to do in Amman, Jordan though?? He didn't try to take down ANY buildings.. Just spread enough chemicals across the city to potentially kill 20,000 people..

Is that something I should worry about?

Would it have no impact on the "state"?

Kind of like 9/11 didn't have an impact on how we conducted business, legally, economically, and politically?

The usual way of making a foreign state fall is with boots on the ground. But you already knew this.

How about that democratic state morphing into a security state?

Is the physical defeat of the US, the only one we should fear Bilow??.. Or should we be worried about our spiritual defeat??

All they have to do is defeat our ideals and make us frightened of our own shadows (as well as hating all muslims), and willing to sacrifice our constitutional values in exchange for greater security.
