The vets who served with Kerry are nicknamed "the Doghunters". As in "this dog DOES hunt". Every time Kerry has run for office, the rightwing have tried to find some hidden "dirt" in his military records to try and negate the fact he was a bona fide super combat hero when he could have dodged the draft like Cheney or Bush. Whenever the rightwing goes too far and lies (as they always do) the Doghunters move in. These are the guys from all walks of life who actually served with Kerry. They have more credibility than anyone alive about John. Add to them the life-long Republican ex Green Beret whose life JK saved under heavy enemy fire. He's now also a Dog-Hunter. There is only one vet who served with Kerry who doesn't like him, and that's the jerk who fired on some innocent people, then got dressed down by JK, his skipper. This jerk has been traumatized his whole life because the people he shot were non-combatants and he fired on them without being ordered to. That by the way, is an atrocity JK personally witnessed.
