Herb Greenberg: Could it be that Google's innovative auction process for its IPO is really a veiled way for insiders to cash out on the deal?

Sheesh. Greenberg should do some research on what firms of hot SV companies received for their IPOs in the 90s. A lot of offering prices were artificially low and companies got peanuts while Goldman and Merrill took home the spoils. I think etoys was priced at $16 and came out at $70. It was ridiculous. This is a much fairer system and more money goes to Google where it belongs.
