OT: J6P who makes 100K a year Wow J6P must be doing OK... Darfot placing the US abuses 'in the past' seems a tad weasely to many folks (and yeah Canucks have glass houses too). I'm not too young to remember seeing segregation in the US which was pretty hard to get my head around as a kid... just because the US has been there done that wrt many abuses doesn't make them better or China worse. Folks expect some magic wand to wave and the third world will magically be pulled into polite society ;o) I wonder if the Chinese will ever get any Satisfaction.. It's just different... we mustn't forget about the miracle of productivity... Seems more likely the expectations of many Westerners have been raised to unsustainable levels and now leaner meaner hungrier folks are able to compete because capitalism works... so of course we cry foul and say but these poor people are like slaves... :o) BTW the number of millionaires (and billionaires for that matter) and high earning middle class in China is rapidly expanding, faster than anywhere else.. The total worth of US millionaires OTOH appears to be declining.... in time living standards and abuses will equalise according to the nation's wealth more or less.. it's the human condition.. right now China is at bat and on deck with India hoping for another chance to get out of Triple-A.... regards Kastel
