WIND up 6 for 21% in three days, no news and no posts. Must be a contented group. Checked the earnings for the last five quarters and they are (split adjusted) 4.7/8/10/12.7 (last year) 9.4 (this year). 11 cents seems a reasonable estimate but it is difficult to guess how much IxWorks and Tornado will be contributing this quarter. While reading through the quarterlies I noticed that in just about every one contains the same comment: "I am very gratified by the excellent performance recorded by Wind River and its employees during this past fiscal year," commented Ron Abelmann, president and CEO. Also, I rummaged through Intel's extensive information on the i960 at intel.com From the price list and so on it seems that all of the embedded 960's will be sold with a run time license of IxWorks with the prices ranging from about $10 to about $200. One can also buy VX960TEU REAL TIME O.S. TAR FORMAT for $22,500 directly from Intel. There is a separate page of prices of tools for the 80960 family which did not make a lot of sense to me. Last point for today: was the name tornado taken to complement Intel's cyclone?
