We were supporting the Muslims with arms and money against the Soviets. It's a question of semantics whether you call them the Taliban or not. I dare say some of the RPGs used against our troops in Iraq now were purchased with American tax money.

That's the big problem I have with our foreign policy. It's tactical, always. Very rarely do we act strategically.
