"My question was an indirect way of trying to convince
him that the NYT isn't completely useless"

JJ, my personal POV is that when a major player has
established a clear pattern of bias, partisan behavior,
half truths, lies, distortion or intentional deceit; they
are not to be trusted to be accurate on anything they have
abused in the past. The more persistent this pattern of
behavior is, the wider the net I throw over the issues I
will not trust them on. Instead, I will seek out
independent verification. And I will not hesitate to
speak out loudly against such behavior.

I apologize if I was harsh in my replies to you last
night. Sometimes I allow my personal views on
dissembling/veracity/bias to get the best of me at times.
I took your posts to be defending, what is to me, a
discredited institution. I get frustrated when folks
easily dismiss serious breaches of trust, morals &/or
ethics. It just does not make sense to me at all.

My bad
