No doubt you are correct on the need for adjustment. I defend the natural right claim not as a trump card, since I am not a libertarian, but as a reasonable claim to bring to the table when adjusting interests for fairness and public utility. It seems to me that it is founded on similar claims to the fruits of one's labor, although with special problems, and therefore cannot be shrugged off as not meriting consideration as a property claim. I think we are otherwise in broad agreement.
