this is interesting. Google is set to IPO with a market cap of $20 billion or more, on earnings of just about $105 million which only grew 6% YoY ("earnings yield" of 0.525% at $20 billion market cap or PE of 190 for 6% earnings growth), and they exhort prospective shareholders: "Don't Be Evil". they seem to think they are in league with Warren Buffet. Letter From the Founders Don't Be Evil Don't be evil. We believe strongly that in the long term, we will be better served -- as shareholders and in all other ways -- by a company that does good things for the world even if we forgo some short term gains. This is an important aspect of our culture and is broadly shared within the company.
