My friend just got an immigrant visa to Canada with less than a year's processing. In three years he will be a citizen. He's wondering whether to actually move there from Australia where he easily immigrated (from South Asia) or not. His US immigration case had years to go till it will veen be looked at.... My greencard process is lost somewhere in the bureaucracy.... in the meantime the Federal government does nothing to stop the stream of illegal immigrants and reduces the queue of possibly skilled immigrants with this H1-B thing which will force people with essentially US funded degrees to go back to their home countries instead of working and paying taxes here... it is all really bizarre policy...
