I cannot believe all the nonsense I am seeing about a huge dollar short position that is about to be squeezed. And this from former gold bulls like Richard Russell and Rick Ackerman.

It is not exactly a secret that a large portion of global debt is denominated in greenbacks. It also is not a secret from the monetary powers that be that much of this debt would be unpayable if the dollar were to surge again. Which gives them added incentive to make sure that the buck remains weak and that bounces be kept under control.

The huge dollar denominated debt outstanding is an argument for more dollar depreciation IMHO -- not a surging greenback.
