The economy always grows during war. The over-spending by this administration on top of the war also contributes. The economy was booming during the Vietnam War too. Then it took us many years to pay off those debts. That was part of the problem with the Carter economy, massive war debts.

You can also see the energy gouging is making Bushie oil companies very profitable, while Winn Dixie lays off 10,000 workers in the heartland.
