Well, my personal rule to walk away after a great bunch of trades has been universally disagreed with. I think it has to do with personality types - you're all cooler headed than I am. It is only out of my own experience that I've formed this rule, where time and again if I have some spectacular gains - say $8,000 in two weeks - I suppose I become too eager and try more dangerous plays. All I know is something will come along to move me closer to my average, and I'll end up thinking, boy, if I had just taken a brief vacation I would be sitting on all that profit and would've had a good few days to boot.
