Why does the evilness of Saddam or Noriega or Bin Laden become apparent and a fact only after they oppose US, and ignored when they are on the US side?

When was Saddam on "our" side??

If anything, we were on his side, in hopes of wearing out the Islamist revolution in Iran... no more, no less..

Why is it that people like you never seem to criticize all the mischief that the Soviet Union and France have drummed up on this planet??

Are you all graduates of some kind of marxist mind-control experiment?

Anyone with half a brain knows that the the major powers have been battling one another for influence in the undeveloped, and developing world, for decades... Proxy wars in which the despots who rise to power understand the leverage they have in milking both them for money, weapons, and support..

Sometimes the US has dealt with, and supported unsavory leaders..

But I think we can credibly state that the leaders the Soviets supported have all been pretty despicable...

And when they overthrew a US supported dictator, they generally replaced them with even more despotic regimes..
