You COULD be very close. Mr. Q is not very forthcoming about being hot or cold.

I am at the moment working on a failproof formula that will zero in on the number to within 500 on either side of a midpoint. It involves a bottle of chardonnay and an abacus. I have almost computed the midpoint, but before I reveal my work, which could conceivably alter the future of mathematics, especially for people like you and me, I am wondering what the prize is for winning.
