I am sad to say that some of my friends who really are conservative (but don't know it) don't really read the news or pay attention to what is going on in the world. They think we are wrong in Iraq because the only fact they know is the number of Americans killed in Iraq. The argument I gave them was to see who speaks for their point of view. I asked them to watch Barabara Boxer, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, etc., and see which one they related to the most. I doubt they will, but if they only paid attention. Oh well.
