Hi Sarmad Y. Hermiz; Re: "I'm glad you find them disgusting. Do you also see the reason why Iraqi's would rather die fighting the midnight gestapo raids than be willingly taken to prison by the occupation force."

I see that Hawkmoon didn't answer your question. I wouldn't expect him to.

In previous wars, I don't think that US soldiers did this sort of thing to force prisoners to talk. Killing prisoners in front of other prisoners is the traditional method, followed by a mock execution of the one you want to talk.

It seems that the war in Iraq is getting a bit out of control. According to Hawkmoon, both sides are committing fouls. Maybe it's time for the referees to call the game and send the players home.

Hawkmoon's explanation for the bad behavior of US troops seems to be that since the Iraqis violate the Geneva Convention, US troops should do it too. But at the same time, he condemns the violation by US troops. So I'm not sure what he's getting at.

Like I said before the war, if we wanted to have a war where both sides obey the Geneva Convention, then we should invade Canada, or maybe even France or Germany.
