There was no Saudi gas price fixing deal - the fact that crude prices are far above the OPEC target price band in April of 2004 is incontrovertible evidence of that.

the refusal to hand over his Enron energy papers is likely to be vindicated by the SC.

He didn't tell any lies about the 2000 energy crisis

Joe Wilson accusing his office of outing his undercover CIA agent wife for partisan political reasons.

He has not lied directly to the American people many times about Saddam, WMD's and Al Qaida connections. For example, a few days ago Kerry said re. Iraqi WMD's "they still might be found".

He also promised to cut all ties with Halliburton but has awarded them huge goodies and held onto stock options and a fat yearly salary Cheney's deferred compensation is related to his past employment and has nothing to do with the current operations of Halliburton. This and his stock options were earned before he became VP.

WASHINGTON -- The Senate rejected efforts on Tuesday to keep Vice President Dick Cheney from collecting $500,000 that he is scheduled to receive from Halliburton Corp. this year.

By a vote of 65 to 34, the Senate voted to set aside an amendment that would have prevented Cheney, who led the Houston-based energy firm from 1995 to 2000, from receiving the deferred compensation. It also would have forced the former Wyoming congressman to sell 400,000 options to buy stock in the firm.

Enzi noted that Cheney has put his assets in a blind trust, which means that he has handed over the day-to-day management of them to someone else. He also noted that Cheney has promised to donate after-tax proceeds from the exercise of his Halliburton stock options to the Capital Partners for Education, the George Washington University Medical Facility Associates and the University of Wyoming.
