Raising the price in the spring of an election year speaks louder than words.

Bandar promised to bring the prices down in the fall.

A promise which may or may not be fulfilled. As it is, prices could be dropped $10 per bbl in the fall and still be at the top of the OPEC price band.

Texan oilmen LOVE high-high energy prices. So what - farmers like high crop prices, miners like high mineral prices. In a competitive market, supply and demand move prices.
