I think the movement to the left is more conspicuous. He's definitely adding government programs, not getting rid of them, and centralizing rather than federalizing. And then there's the budget and the deficit. Big budgets and big deficits used to be the dirty-work of the left but he's leaving them in the dust. And nation building used to be the dream of the fuzzy-headed liberals. What he's undertaken is beyond their wildest dreams.

I'm in the anybody-but-Bush camp because he's managed to embrace the worst of both worlds from my POV. Moved right in all the wrong places and moved left in all the wrong places. I can't catch a break. <g>

The leftward movement seems more dramatic to me. Or perhaps it's just that it's more unexpected.
