I guess the question would be how do you define fortunate? I was born poor. No indoor plumbing until I was six. When it was too cold outside, I remember pissing in an old coffee can. I went to public schools. Even with the racism practiced by minority quotas in universities, too many lazy people are still unwilling to give up being paid to not work. Entitlements are fine but paying lazy people (welfare) in the hope to affect their voting preferences is bankrupting this country. I've always said I'll help pay for a woman to get a babysitter, so she could get back to work or to school. Even help pay for that school. But I'll be damned if I am going to give her money to stay at home with her boyfriend who isn't working while I listen to them and their politicians telling me how fortunate I was and how bad I am because I bitch too much. I have no problem investing my money to help someone. But giving them money to live on every week on the public dole because they are lazy is not investing your money. It's time for the WPA or CCC again and get these lazy bums off their ass. Unfortunately too many liberals will come to their rescue. our cities and highways are falling apart, make people who can work work or cut off the money. Period. newdeallegacy.org I don't begrudge any less fortunate that are down on their luck or physically challenged. But these welfare queens, who have been living on handouts from the government for generations has to be stopped. They are the ones spending our social security contributions so we will not have any. I'm the one who is being punished. How unfortunate. John, you complain about the aliens in Florida. What is the difference between the aliens that are less fortunate than you and the lazy bums on welfare you defend by saying I am the one who is a jerk? At least some of those aliens don't mind working shitty jobs to feed their families that the lazy welfare recipients are paid too much to consider.
